I came home last night and something strange happened to my heel as I got out of my car (my pumpkin carriage). The whole thing broke. Don't ask how - I've no idea, but broke it did. So not really Cinderella. OK, OK artistic license - give a girl a break! Suffice to say that on reflection these are the ones I tripped and fell in recently. So that's it then - the bin calls. Ah ha! Now that creates a problem. They were a very good shoe that I got a lot of wear out of. A black suede court shoe on a 5 cm heel... So, now I need to replace this. Simple, yes? No. I don't want super-expensive for every day (pre-fall forget). The price? Don't ask... And anyhow the ones I like are too delicate for everyday wear. See? This is what happens just when you think you've got it sorted. A Cinderella moment! Ha... Will Prince Charming present a new pair of shoes? There's a lot to be said for a man who buys me shoes(as long as they're shoes I like. But the ones that work in shoes are usually friends of Dorothy, not Prince Charming... Although I suppose one can be both! Dior Doc Martins anyone?...

Remember their tights I talked about a while ago? I'm thinking... Is it totally brilliant styling? Well yes, if you look it's just a black PVC skirt and white blouse with the tights and pearl shoes. I know what you're thinking and I'm thinking the same. But this week I'm wiser than last week and just remember sometimes "Less is more". Must remember! Maybe I'll get a tattoo that says that...
But one pair of tights. What harm could they do? Please... Friends you have been warned!
Summer Holidays
Its coming up to that time very quickly. So I tried on my swimwear. Hmmm, maybe I'll treat myself to a new swimsuit. Or maybe instead of the easy (although it's not option) Pilates. I'll do Body Pump instead. Nothing tones my body quicker that Body Pump!. Back to swimwear - well now might just be a good time as I'm waiting to have my spray tan, so in about three days when I've stopped browning everything that touches me I might be able to try on swimwear and not look like a pasty person in London but imagine myself as a Golden Waif (got you laughing there) on the beach! So off I went to try on swimwear and what what do know? I made the most unbelievable rookie mistake!
I've taken of late to favour the new vogue for the full knicker. Love everything about them until you start trying on swimwear. The shame! It's like being back at school (for some reason... don't ask) suffice to say I now have to go back with my "smalls" and do the whole performance again.
One last question about holidays. Do you buy a whole load of new stuff for your holidays? I don't but I think a lot of people do, and I'm curious about this. OK it's not like I'm away for two months in the summer or travel incessantly but even my 2-3 weeks in the summer doesn't, to my mind, warrant a holiday wardrobe above and beyond what I have already. If I add the odd thing and some swimwear that's OK, but this whole new wardrobe thing? Noonoo... I might be able to buy my white jeans whilst I'm away. That will only have taken me two years to purchase, it takes a long time, but I know that the make I like is available (Dundop) in the resort I'm going to and as I'm certainly not buying online - who knows? I might be lucky.
I think we might be having a rain-free day today! Better than last night, when my sister tried to have a BBQ. It poured and was cold so I wore double jackets just in case. Obviously we were not outside. Good job we British are hardy creatures (are we still British or are we Englanders or what? Will some one clarify this for me?)
