OMG!!!!!

Do people (by people I mean "real people") really exclaim like that anymore?

It looks like my posts have become a bi-weekly occurance - just too busy/not in the mood/inability to find a title/all of the above.

First things first - another pair of shoes has been bought with my credit note. There's a 50/50 chance they're going back. Why, I hear you ask. I don't know. This credit note is becoming a poisioned chalice. One of my all-time favourite things (buying shoes) is becoming a real trial. Yes, you remember (too much choice). I did however, treat myself to some perfume. No big deal - buying perfume. When it's £160 a bottle, to me it's huge. I was given this perfume at a press party and fell in love with it and, oh yes, never has a smell been so complimented on by men. So I liberally sprayed it everywhere, every day. And when my free bottle was finished, I went to restock only to find out the price - £160! Whoa!!

£160 for perfume! No it can't be! So being very mean, I started wearing my other perfumes that my first husband continues to buy me (no one ever comments on them). So I threw caution to the wind, and I bought my perfume - Hoorah!

NOT going to drink Red Wine again. I went to a charity dinner and although I was well-looked after (seated with my friends) and the men on my left and right were very attentive, the food was inedible but the wine was very tasty and, dear friends, although I'd had three dates with three different men last week, the last one was something I won't do again in a hurry - have a blind date. I was quite nervous and he was quite funny. He was someone I would have seen again but unfortunately the feeling wasn't reciprocated and that was a little hard to take. Hence the red wine... So yesterday, when I awoke and tried on a skirt I was to wear to another charity lunch. TIGHT?! My hips were taking over the world! Honestly - the speed at which I retain water (should that be wine?) Twenty-four hours later however and we are back on track, but honestly it's such a pain! I made it very clear that under no circumstances was I to be served anything other than water. And now my hips are under control again.

I feel a change is coming! I had lunch in a very fashionable members club last week. And, you know me, always observing what we're wearing and now that I'm "of an age"  (no, that's just me being a little hard on myself). Well, you should have seen them! Women wearing (in my opinion) totally inappropriate clothing for their age. When did dresses become so popular at lunch (which I think is the way to go). It's the one-stop-shop. But can you find a sleeved day dress that isn't mumsy or hippy? Please let me know where...

Am I going to wear fitted clothes? Well, if I keep off the red wine, then yes, maybe. I think my curls may be on their last legs and although I'm not cutting my hair (that's when you know things are really bad) or changing the colour, a change is afoot!

One girl in my group has pink-tipped hair. Somewhat of a statement in my crowd. Good for her! (Like when I wore a tiara to a charity dinner).

See - I told you Cruise was near. But this charity business is cleaning me out, so I may pay a visit to Biscter (the designer outlet). I don't care if a few staples are last season, or even the season before... (a white skirt anyone?)

Enjoy Today and, although don't forget Yesterday, don't make it important.

Happy Shopping!
